Limelight Publishing ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit www.limelightpublishing.com or use our publishing, editing and pre-publication services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Contact details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number and postal address.
- Your book and related files, such as your manuscript, cover images, illustrations, author photo and the details you provide on our submission form.
- Order information when you buy from our website. Payments are processed securely by Shopify and its payment providers; we never see or store your full card details.
- Website usage information, such as your browser type, device, pages viewed and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies. Our free AI Disclosure Helper runs in your browser and does not store your answers.
How we use your information
- To provide the services you have purchased, including formatting, cover design, editing, pre-publication checks and publishing your book.
- To set up and manage your book in your own Lulu account, and to register your ISBN, copyright and LCCN.
- To communicate with you about your book, your order and our services.
- To create your Author Page and promote your book, with your agreement.
- To send you news and offers, only if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To improve our website and services, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Your manuscript
Your manuscript and files are confidential. We share them only with the Limelight team members working on your book (such as our editors and designers) and with Lulu, our printing and distribution partner, as needed to publish your book. Your book remains 100% yours, and we never claim any ownership of your work.
Who we share information with
- Lulu, which prints and distributes your book and pays your royalties directly to you, and the retailers Lulu distributes to.
- Shopify, which hosts our website and processes payments. See Shopify's privacy policy.
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as email and analytics tools.
- Authorities, where we are required to by law.
We never sell your personal information.
Information stored overseas
Some of our service providers, including Shopify and Lulu, store information outside Australia, including in the United States and Canada. We choose providers that take data security seriously.
How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our services, support your book after publication, and meet our legal and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to those obligations.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, although parts of our website may not work as expected without them.
Young authors
Our services are intended for adults. If an author is under 18, a parent or guardian must arrange the service and provide their information on the author's behalf.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
