Our Lulu Partnership
Proud partners with Lulu for more than seven years
Every Limelight book is printed and distributed through Lulu, one of the world's longest-running self-publishing and print-on-demand platforms. Together, we've helped more than 150 authors see their books in print, from titles sold worldwide to private editions made just for family and friends.
Why we chose Lulu
When we started Limelight, we looked for a printing and distribution partner that shared our values: quality, fairness, and putting authors in control. We found that in Lulu, and they've been part of our story ever since.
Quality printing on demand
Books are printed and professionally bound as they're ordered, so authors never need to pay for a print run or store boxes of stock.
Worldwide reach
Lulu lists books with more than 40,000 retailers around the world, including Amazon and the Ingram network that bookstores and libraries order from.
Authors stay in control
Every author has their own Lulu account. You keep your rights, set your own price, and can see your sales and royalties at any time.
Ethical and secure
Lulu is a certified B Corp, meeting high standards for social and environmental responsibility, and is SOC 2 compliant for data security.
What Lulu gives our authors
On sale straight away
Your book can be listed on the Lulu Bookstore as soon as it's published, and you earn 80% of the revenue from each sale there, after printing costs.
Author copies at cost
Order copies of your own book whenever you need them, for signings, launches or gifts, at a permanent author discount.
Private publishing
Not every book is meant for the shelves. Lulu lets authors print beautiful private editions for family, friends or an organisation, without public listing.
Priority support
Our authors' Lulu accounts are added to Lulu's priority list, so support requests are usually answered within 24 hours.
How we work together
Limelight
We design your interior and cover, register your ISBN and copyright, check your files against Lulu's and Amazon's requirements, review AI use with you, and set your book up in your Lulu account.
Lulu
Lulu prints your book to order, makes it available on the Lulu Bookstore and to retailers worldwide, and pays your royalties directly to you.
