This website is operated by Limelight Publishing ("we", "us", "our"). By using our website or purchasing our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Publishing services

If you purchase a publishing package, editing or pre-publication service, the following terms also apply.

  • Ownership. Your book remains 100% yours. Copyright stays in your name, and you keep full ownership, all rights to your work and complete creative control. Limelight Publishing does not take ownership of your book or any of its rights.
  • Your content. You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything you send us, including your text, images, illustrations and any chapter headers or other design elements, and that your book does not infringe anyone else's rights or break any law.
  • AI disclosure. You agree to tell us honestly about any use of AI in your text, images or translations, so that your book can be declared correctly to retailers. We will review every book and agree any declaration with you before your book is submitted.
  • Your approval. We will not publish your book until you have approved your final interior, cover and printed proof.
  • Your Lulu account. Your book is published through your own Lulu account. Royalties are paid by Lulu directly to you, and Limelight does not take a share of your royalties.
  • Retailer decisions. Amazon and other retailers decide which books they list and may decline or remove a book for reasons outside our control. We cannot guarantee acceptance by any retailer, but we will help you fix and resubmit your book where we can.
  • Timelines. The timeframes on our website are estimates. Timelines can be longer if revisions are requested, if proofs take longer to arrive, or if a retailer's review takes longer.
  • Refunds. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

2. Materials you send us

Manuscripts, artwork, photos and other materials you send us for your book remain yours. We use them only to provide the services you have asked for, and we share them only with our team and with Lulu as needed to publish your book. If you send us general feedback or suggestions about our services, we may use them to improve our services without any obligation to you.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are in US dollars. Prices may change from time to time, but the price you pay is the price shown when you place your order. Work begins once we have received your payment, your submission form and your files.

4. Our website and content

The content of this website, including text, designs, graphics and our free tools, belongs to Limelight Publishing and may not be copied or reused without our permission. Information on our website, including information about retailer rules and AI disclosure, is provided as general guidance only. Retailer rules change, and the retailer's current rules always apply.

5. Third-party services and links

Our services rely on third parties, including Lulu, Amazon and other retailers, Shopify and Etsy. We are not responsible for their decisions, websites, policies or availability.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use our website or services for any unlawful purpose, to infringe anyone's rights, or to submit false, misleading, defamatory or harmful content. We may decline or stop work on any book that we reasonably believe breaches these terms, the law, or a retailer's content rules.

7. Liability

We provide our services with care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of sales or profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service concerned. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
