Lynette Greenfield

Hi, I’m Lynette Greenfield, Founder of Limelight Publishing and an author. I’m passionate about helping people turn their ideas and stories into published books. I guide writers through the publishing process step by step, showing them how it works, supporting them at every stage, and encouraging them to believe in the value of their voice and their story. My goal is to make the publishing journey feel approachable and achievable, so more people feel confident sharing their words with the world. 📚
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to receive recognition for my work, including being named a finalist in both the Community and Diversity categories of the Seven News Community Achievement Awards in 2024 and 2025, as well as for the Leadership Award in 2024. These acknowledgements are incredibly meaningful to me because they reflect the heart of what drives my work: supporting people, building opportunity, and strengthening literary communities. One of the most meaningful recognitions I have received was in 2023, when Jeannette Young, the Governor of Queensland, acknowledged my work, particularly my advocacy within the special needs community, and invited me to attend an afternoon tea at Government House.
As a writer, I have published multiple books through Lulu Press, exploring a wide range of genres including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and children’s literature. While I enjoy working across many forms of storytelling, fiction holds a special place for me. I’m fascinated by the way stories can illuminate human experience, challenge perspective, and create emotional connections between readers and worlds that exist only on the page.
From 2016 to 2019, I attended BookExpo America and BookCon in New York and Chicago, experiences that helped broaden my understanding of the global publishing industry and strengthened the professional networks I continue to nurture today. In 2023, I also had the opportunity to contribute to the publishing panel at the Logan Book Festival, sharing insights and practical guidance with emerging writers.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple mission: to make publishing more visible, accessible, and achievable for people who might otherwise feel excluded from the process. I care deeply about supporting disadvantaged youth and individuals living in geographically isolated communities, helping them discover that their stories matter and deserve to be heard. For me, publishing is not just about producing books, it is about empowering voices, building confidence, and creating pathways for people to share their experiences with the world. 📚
