The Lawyer's Dilemma by LORNAMARIE

When he was eighteen month’s old Tom’s parents divorced. His mother suffered from drug addiction and substance misuse, her experience post- natal traumatic disorder, her son was taken into social care by fostering and he was later on adopted. After adoption his surname changed as his adoptive family surname.
Twenty-eight year later Tom was convicted for the murder of his half-brother Steve who traveled from Pennsylvania to England to study accountancy. The author revealed how underlining problems in childhood could be the cause of behavioral problems. When Keith discovered that Tom was his son, he was left with no choice but to plea bargain for a reduced sentence. Tom had been neglected by Keith leading to Tom being taken into foster care and later on adoption by new parents. And even though his surname had changed to his adoptive name, Tom is a carbon copy striking resemblance of his father Keith.
