When he was eighteen month’s old Tom’s parents divorced. His mother suffered from drug addiction and substance misuse, her experience post- natal traumatic disorder, her son was taken into social care by fostering and he was later on adopted. After adoption his surname changed as his adoptive family surname.
Twenty-eight year later Tom was convicted for the murder of his half-brother Steve who traveled from Pennsylvania to England to study accountancy. The author revealed how underlining problems in childhood could be the cause of behavioral problems. When Keith discovered that Tom was his son, he was left with no choice but to plea bargain for a reduced sentence. Tom had been neglected by Keith leading to Tom being taken into foster care and later on adoption by new parents. And even though his surname had changed to his adoptive name, Tom is a carbon copy striking resemblance of his father Keith.

Lorna Marie was born in Islington, London, before leaving for Lagos where she attended Marywood Grammar School and Methodist Girls High School, Lagos, Nigeria. In 1986, she bagged an award as the overall best student in her A-level examination result. Consequently, she gained admission to study Law at the prestigious University of Lagos, popularly known as Unilag. She obtained her LL.B (Hons) degree with honors at the University of Lagos in 1989. In 1990, Lorna attended the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos, and after completing the bar final examinations was called to bar as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. The author is a member of the Author’s Alliance, headquartered in the United States. She is also a member of the British and Irish Association of Law Librarians (BIALL). Lorna adores preserving the memory of humanity, reviewing library books and managing knowledge, covering a wide range of subjects wherever possible. Lorna Marie is the writer of: The Judges and Lawyers Companion, How to Write a Good Dissertation, a guide for university undergraduate students, and The Power of Words to The Human Spirit, Soul, Body and Mind: a compendium of great speeches by world leaders and some landmark court judgments.
